I just finished watching Game 5 of the Pistons/Cavs series.  I watched a total of about five minutes of the entire game.  I probably hadn't watched a total of five minutes of NBA basketball this entire season.  Tonight's game reminded me why I can't stand the NBA.  Here are a few thoughts I had while watching:

The Davis soap opera is officially in its final chapter.

How long before the race card is thrown out there? After all, that has to be the reason Hoosier fans didn't support him. I've actually heard people make this argument. Sports Illustrated says Davis resigned tonight. Did they jump the gun?

I'm watching ESPN 2 right now and they're about to do a story about Davis, it appears.

ESPN 2 says Davis has scheduled a news conference for Thursday afternoon. He is expected to announce his resignation effective the end of the season.
